Lauranne Pauwels earned a Master's degree in law from the Catholic University of Louvain (2015), after a semester of Erasmus in Montreal. She also obtained an Executive Master’s degree in Tax Management from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (2017).
Before starting her career as a lawyer, Lauranne worked as a corporate tax consultant for a Big Four company.
She has been a lawyer and a member of the Brussels Bar since 2017. In addition to her work as a lawyer, Lauranne is an assistant in tax law at the Catholic University of Louvain and regularly gives seminars.
Her practice focuses mainly on tax law, where she advises private and corporate clients, both nationally and internationally, on direct taxation (corporate tax, personal tax, corporate tax and non-resident tax) and on the acquisition and reorganisation of companies. She also assists clients in tax rulings procedures with the Advance Rulings Service or in litigation procedures (administrative complaints).
Lauranne has acquired a particular expertise in estate and inheritance planning, in the civil and tax aspects thereof, and she publishes studies on the topic.
Lauranne also practises corporate law (structuring, acquisitions and restructuring of companies).
